Selecting some gems for The Maltman.

Meadowiside Blending have been out to some distilleries tasting some excellent whiskies for new releases coming in the following months. Donald Hart and son Andrew continue to seek to bottle only the finest single malts for the Maltman, and they have some top drams coming very soon.

Whisky Shiff Lucerne 2012

We are just back from a great show in Switzerland on the whisky shiff in Lucerne. It was a really nice event with some excellent drams being represented. The Maltman of course had some great whiskies on show and the reaction was excellent. We were invited there by our Swiss Importer Rene Meister of Emelys Whisky in Frick.
The setting for the whisky shiff was breathtakingly beautiful on the lake of Lucerne surrounded by snow tipped mountains. Hope to see all Swiss Maltman and Maltwomen in Zurich at the next whisky shiff.. Enjoy the photos of the trip.

I am just back from a really good weekend at Hanse Spirit in Hamburg, Germany. The show was in a beautiful old building which gave a great atmosphere.

There was an excellent range of stands including Rums,Cigar rolling, Vodkas, but most importantly good whisky : ) I was there with our partners Alba Imports, and I would like to thank Didi and Corrie again for an excellent weekend.
We went to Bremen for a tasting on Friday night and met the lovely people at the Scotch Club Bremen.

The fair in Hamburg was full of very knowledgeable whisky lovers and The Maltman was very well received, with the Maltman Ben Nevis 45 year old (Sherry cask) and the Maltman Mortlach 22 year old the stars.

We were delighted to get some pictures from our good friend René D. Meister in Switzerland telling us all about the succesfull whisky fair on the Whiskyschiff in Zürich. We also love the fantastic stand built in the shop for The Maltman bottles.
All Swiss Maltman fans remember to visit Emely’s Whisky shop for great service and great whiskies.

Our friends at Wijnhandel van Zuylen in the Hague, Holland, recently hosted their first Maltman tasting which was a great success.
On the menu that night was -
Ben Nevis 42 year old Sherry cask, Tullibardine 19 year old, Caol Ila 30 year old, Clynelish 13 year old, Macduff 23 year old, Balmenach 18 year old and last but not least a lovely Highland Park 12 year old.

We would like to say “Danke Vel” to Rob and Mr Van Zuylen for organising this and doing a great job.
